1884  (1913)  KIDNELIK. A tribe of Central Eskimos living on Coronation gulf, Arctic ocean [called] Copper Eskimo.
1922  The main sources of information for all that relates to the ethnology of the Copper Eskimos are the works of Mr. V. Stefansson, the commander of the Canadian Arctic Expedition.
1965  The Holman artists are a small group of five in an isolated community of 125 Eskimos. A part of this group is known as the Copper Eskimos because they fashioned their tools and weapons from native copper.
